The first-timer women team proved that teamwork united them to have a winning kick in that particular game.

“Sa totoo lang amateur pa sila eh, mga first timers. We really don’t have any backgrounds regarding Futsal, teamwork lang talaga,” said Camille Joice Sombero, CBA’s Coach.

The College of Education (CoEd) and College of Industrial Technology (CIT), on the other hand, were first on the list to step on the court to play for the continuation of the Women’s Futsal Game Wednesday.

With a score of 3-2, CoEd smashed out CIT through Crystalyn Eugenio and Dona Moral’s one-each goals. Moral succesfully got the free kick and gained another point that thoroughly slipped down the CIT.

CIT’s Coach Monette dela Cruz revealed that the reason for their defeat is having no proper training at all.

“Wala talagang proper training,” Dela Cruz simply stated.

The two respective winning teams, CBA and CoEd Championship match was held on August 30. The game ended with a score of 4-1, in favor of the College of Education (CoEd). Mariel Acob, Crystalyn Eugenio and Dona Moral again of CoEd struck the four victory goals of their team, shaded Carla De Ocampo of CBA’s one.

College of Engineering crumpled College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), 3-2, in the first game of the Men’s Futsal Tuesday. The Engineering’s keeper Jayson Clacio got a winning point of Goal-to-Goal. Grace dela Cruz, COE’s Coach cited that her team underwent regular training that enhanced her player’s skills that made them beat the CCJE in just a wink of an eye.

“Regular practice, teamwork and unity. Kinaya namin, kasi pinaghandaan talaga ng team namin 'yong game na’to,she said.

The College of Engineering (COE) advanced for the next round with the College of Home Economics (CHE) as their opponent, August 30, but COE’s luck faded away when they fought the men of CHE. Jan Paul Custodio scored all the three goals of the Home Economics that overpowered the COE.

Meanwhile, the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) came back, August 30, and scored seven over the hopeless two goals of the College of Home Economics (CHE). Nathaniel de Guzman preceded the Criminology’s points which instantly threw CHE out of the scene and made the CCJE be in the 3rd place.

On the next game, the College of Industrial Technology (CIT) conquered again the whole court when they finished a 3-0 game with the College of Physical Education Recreation and Sports (CoPERS). Jeffrey Llanderes and Leonel Areola goaled for the CIT. Areola did another point as he smoothly took the penalty kick, leaving the COPERS with a blank record.

College of Education (CoEd) recouped its loss to CIT as they blemished College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT), 7-4, through COED’s Kurt Russel Sundiam’s four goals, Jhon Michael Espiritu’s two and Mark John Gatmaitan’s one.

Industrial Technology’s Coach Raul Bernaldez were very proud for what they’ve reached.

Di pwedeng basta laro-laro lang, kailangan may techniques, pasahan ng bola. Malakas ang COED, ngayon lang nawala ang championship sa COED,Bernaldez uttered.

The students who joined the recently held university sports competition will face each other again next year and look forward to find their luck for another set of games in the BulSU Intramurals 2013.
