BULACAN STATE UNIVERISTY - The College of Industrial Technology (CIT) Stingers once again proved their eminence and superiority in softball men’s division, bagging home the championship title in the recent BulSU Intamurals 2012.

The CIT softball men team battled against the lineup of Sarmiento Campus for the championship title at the Marcelo H. del Pilar Sports Complex yesterday. The CIT Stingers easily slaughtered Sarmiento Stars’ chance of bringing home the cup as the team dominated the game with the score of 14-1.

Having claimed lopsided victories with other BulSU colleges and campuses, CIT softball and baseball coach Charlie Cano believes that the softball men’s team has not yet encountered its most powerful opponent.

Any team, kayang i-beat. Ang medyo mabigat na kalaban namin dito is ‘yong COPERS, and then ‘yong Sarmiento Campus. Kaya lang sa nakita naming laro ng Sarmiento Campus kahapon, with the score of 14-1, masyadong malayo ang pagitan ng score at ng players,” said Cano.

Cano also shared the guarantee he felt that his softball team will win the title even before the final game started.

The Stingers’ softball and baseball coach also said that his team’s force increased when athletes from COPERS transferred to CIT. Cano disclosed that was one of the reasons why COPERS’ softball and baseball teams’ force somehow declined.

Owning the title this year is the 5th straight triumph of the CIT Stingers softball men, dating back from its very first trophy in 2008.
