BULACAN STATE UNIVERSITY - After being the Intramurals Cheerdance Champion last year, the College of Business Administration Magnates PEP Squad (CBA PEP) fell down to 2nd place in the recent BulSU Intramurals Pep Squad Competition.

The competition was held last August 29 at BulSU's Valencia Hall.

According to Jonabeth Frias, CBA PEP Group Leader, it's not all about the championship title, but performing well. Just being among the top 3 made them satisfied.

“No'ng tinawag kaming 1st runner up ok lang samin, tanggap namin. Kuntento kami sa nakuha namin no hard feelings,” Frias said.

“Siguro sa linis ng routine kami nagkulang kasi nalaglag yung isa sa'min during stunts. Siguro lilinisin pa namin 'yong routine namin at dadamihan pa namin 'yong flyer na iti-train para sa isang taon,” Frias added.

Five colleges joined the competition. They were the College of Home Economics (CHE) which won the title, College of Business Administration (CBA) which got the 1st runner up, and College of Education (CoEd) which was the 2nd runner up. The College of Arts and Letters (CAL) and College of Science (CS) got 4th and 5th place respectively.

Meanwhile ,the College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT) PEP Squad were not allowed by their college Dean Fausto Hillario to join the competition due to last year's incident when one of their members fell during a stunt and was sent to the hospital.

“Syempre nakakalungkot kasi balak talaga naming bumawi kaso hindi talaga kami pinayagan ni dean. Nakakapanghinayang gusto pa naman naming sumali,” said August Bryan Simora, CICT PEP and Firefox Leader.

" Next intrams, ipu-push talaga namin 'yong pagsali sa cheer dance. Pipilitin talaga namin si dean, tsaka last year ko na, graduating na kasi 'ko next school year, ended Simora.
