Proving their abilities in Region III by being the first ever champion of the Central Luzon Football League (CLFL), Futbulakenyos are ready to face more battles, this time, representing thier alma mater Bulacan State University.

Now that their efficiency started to echo from place to place, many hopes to see this unbeatable football team to play and be on the next SCUAA Olympics, to show once again how incredible they are inside the field.

Roberto Lopez Jr., their Assistant Coach cleared that Futbulakenyos are not going to SUC Olympics as Futbulakenyos, instead they will go there to create a football team carrying the flag of Bulacan State University.

"We'll play as BSU football team not as Futbulakenyos, kasi kapag ganung SUC Olympics III, ang dinadala ay ang pangalan ng University," Lopez explained.

Majority of the members of Futbulakenyos are varsity players representing BulSU in the said Olympics. Team BulSU was reigned as football champion in the last SCUAA competition held at San Pablo Recreational Park in Tarlac City with Emmanuel Robles as their head coach. According to Assistant Coach Lopez, the game was played in a round robin way and Nueva Ecija was their closest rival.

For BulSU Intramurals, Assistant Coach expounded that once a varsity player had already joined and played the SCUAA Olympics, he’s prohibited to participate the University Intramurals. This is done to let other students from different colleges of the University to showcase their talents in football playing and somehow, Futbulakenyos can recruit and train new players from them.

“Sa Intrams hindi pwedeng maglaro ang mga varsity d'on maliban na lang d'on sa mga freshmen na ngayon pa lang nag-te-training. Pwede silang maglaro kasi kapag nakapaglaro ka na ng SUC Olympics, hindi ka na pwedeng maglaro ng Intrams. Para lang yun sa ibang estudyante na interesadong maglaro ng football,” he said.

For SCUAA, the goal of the football hunks is to bring honor to Bulacan State University. Lopez said that they keep practicing and conditioning their bodies for them to be prepared for the coming SCUAA Olympics.

“Sa training namin, pinaghahandaanan talaga namin. Talagang pinag-iisipan yung bawat gagawin. Yungstamina, agility, pampabilis ng paa, binti, hita. Halos lahat pampalakas ng katawan. Nag-ba-body weights rin kami para naman tumigas yung mga muscles.”

The Futbulakenyos are improving themselves physically well to be ready enough as they face another set of football battles and attend the SUC Olympics on January 2013 to be held at Iba, Zambales with the Ramon Magsaysay Technological University as the year’s next host.
